Rename Domain utility

I'm trying to rename a Windows 2003 domain and the documentation
indicates to create a new zone to support the new domain name. My DNS
currently has the following zones:

Foward lookup zone:
_msdcs.test.com
test.com

My new domain name is new.com, do I have to create 2 new zones? or
just new.com. Will the _msdcs.test.com be automatically renamed?

You would have to rename it accordingly to your new domain. No it won't be
re-created. It's created by dcpromo when you opt to let it setup DNS for
you. Here, check out this link. There's a PPT presentation that you can
download on the whole procedure and mentions an XML tool and other tools,
that you can use to rename this along with your application partitions (very
important). Check out slides 40 and above:
