I have to rename about 200 computers in our company. I would like to
do it through a script or command line. Most of the workstations are
W2K and all are members of a domain. I've done some searchng on this
newsgroup and others and have read about using NETDOM. I have used
NETDOM to join a computer that is connected to the network but not a
member of our domain to the domain without problems. My questions is
how can the computers be removed from the domain and renamed so that I
can join them using NETDOM?
If I have to visit each workstation to remove it from the domain and
rename it, I might as well rejoin it to the domain then. I am trying
to interrupt users as little as possible since some computers are in
offices that are locked after hours.
Any help is appreciated.
