Hello:

Is it possible to boot-up with Win98 Boot disc and using command (Or
utility) that change the computername & SID? I have try ghost walker but
it can't rename the computer name which is not same lenght as before.

Freeware will be the best.

Thanks a lot!

You can look at NewSID
http://www.sysinternals.com/utilities/newsid.html
but the intention for such utilities is to be used after restoring a
"template image" to a new system and before it is "in use". YMMV
Use at own risk, etc. I suggest a complete disk image of the system
to afford a roll-back option, just in case.

Hello:

Thanks for your suggestion. Does any tools that I can boot-up with
Win98 Start-up Disc & change the Computer Name with new SID?
I have clone from the ghost & would like to change the computer name &
SID before the PC boot-up.

Thanks a lot!

The only one I ever used (there may be others) was part of
PowerQuest' PQDI (Drive Image) Professional v4.x. It operated from
DOS bootable media. Tried Google on "SID changer" or similar?
