What is involved in uninstalling Windows XP on an old
computer and installed on a new machine? I am concerned
with Microsoft Registration and Activation.

Paul;
Simply remove from the old computer and install Windows XP on the new
computer.
Attempt Internet Activation.
If that fails, choose the option to Activate by phone.
Call displayed number, done in about 5 minutes.

The above may not work if Windows XP is OEM.

In addition, OEM versions are Legally tied to the first machine they are
installed on, so even if it works, it is not legal to do this.
