Hello
I would like to improve my pc's performance and could i remove office and
outlook express without messing up anything.Thank you for your support and
effort !!!

You can uninstall MS Office by going to Add or Remove Programs in the
Control Panel.

You cannot remove Outlook Express, all you can do is remove access to it and
that is a waste of time.

Hope this helps. Let us know.

ok,i will try that and if you could tell me what other components of windows
i can remove.this is a home user pc and we don't work or do anything fancy
with it.just want it to be faster and thank you again for your advice.!!!
have a great day !!!

Uninstalling programs is a complete waste of time unless the aforementioned
are running at start up, and even then, any performance gain will be
marginal..

Assuming that your computer is free of malware and spyware, look to add more
memory and maybe a different CPU..

Removing applications does *nothing* to improve performance.

What's running affects perfromance, but what's installed and not running
doesn't.

Thank you for your advice.
I added more memory and I am very happy about that.it's a great improvement
and the pc is much-much-much faster.also, like the other gentelmen
suggested,it's not what's installed,it's what's running and i did mscofig and
stopped many programs from running @ startup.Thanx again and you have a
wonderfull day !!!

Thank you for your input.it was a great thing to be able to load and surf
faster.
i did install more memory and it's unreal how much the performance has
improved.
also, i used msconfig and removed alot of programs from starting up.and no
spywear but i am very upset when i open my yahoo mail there are 439 messeges
in the bulk folder,is there anything i could do about it ?
Thanx again for your advice !!
Best to you !!

Is Yahoo setup as POP3? If yes, you might create some message rules to sort
and delete mail. See Outlook Express Help file for more details.

Personally, I like to go through my bulk mail/junk mail folder on a daily
basis. Not often but now and then, a valid email will slip in there. By
checking daily, I can rescue the misdirected email back to the appropriate
folder. Once the valid mail has been rescued, a quick right click - Delete
Junk Mail - gets rid of the rest.

If your email program stalls when deleting a large number of emails, select
a smaller number of emails to delete. Repeat until the folder is empty.

If Yahoo is an web based email account, log on to the website and delete
the bulk mail there.
