I had windows XP on my PC and am thoroughly unimpressed
with the power of it. So i tried installing Windows 2000
on it. It constantly says it has problems with my BIOS and
memory and all kinds of other things. And it doesn't
recognize a lot of my hardware. I would just like to use
windows XP which is till installed on my hard drive, but
when I select it as the OS to load it says there is a
problem loading some file for windows 2000. That doesn't
make sense because i selected to load windows XP. I would
really just like to go back to XP. If i can just get it to
load once I can then just erase Win2k. Or can i somehow
erase it and go back to XP? Thanks, Bryan

Installing Win2K _after_ WinXP replaces WinXP's system files
(BOOT.INI, NTLDR, & NTDETECT.COM) with Win2K's older versions, which
cannot recognize the newer WinXP as a valid OS. Simply replace these
older files with WinXP's files.
