Hello,

I have a W2k3 server with roaming profiles. I have lots of accounts but
few computers (Internet Cafe)

Anyone have a way to remove Users/Profile directories since a given
date?

Idealy what I would like is to delete all users who haven't logged in
in 3 months for example.

This doesn't seem possible with any of the Microsoft tools, or is it?

Joe,

This is pretty easy in Windows 2003. You open the ADU&C and create a new
stored query -- this should be one of the top nodes in the left pane.
Create the query to show you accounts that haven't been active in 3 months
and delete them.

As to the roaming profiles.. you'll have to either do this manually or
script this.

Thanks Doug and Ryan,

Delprof doesn't seem to deal with the roaming profiles. These users are
in an AD OU that I created. Although Delprof does run on the server it
doesn't pick up users that are non in standard places (I think) I have
over 2500 users in AD, when I do delprof /D:90 (90 days) it only picks
up 3 or 4 users...Sigh. (Delprof works great on the xp clients though)

As for creating the query -- I haven't seen this, I will try this. I'll
then need to export the removed names so I can erase the directories.

Thanks for your assistance.

OK, just tried to create the query, I set the query root to my OU,
define the query as "Name" "Has a Value" and Days sinc last logon to be
120.

Then I do a refresh on the query.

I get a dialog:
This query cannot be completed because it requires information that is
not supported by the Active Directory domain that is currently
targeted. ...

This domain is a "Windows 2000 mixed" functional level, is this query a
2003 only type????

Oy!

Hi mate I have a simular question but i want to remove the roaming
directorys from the client system. I have my roaming profiles on my
server and the clients systems are getting clogged up as the profiles
are staying on the client directory C:\Documents and Settings\ I want
to creat a log off script removing them as they log off but i can creat
a batch file but where do i go to set the batch file to run when the
user logs off as i can only find info about log on scripts?
Cheers James
