Can anyone help me here, My pc keeps getting bogged down over time, when i do updates like service pack 3 etc, can all the previous updates be removed to make more room. as when i go into add and remove there is loads and loads of updates that just lying there, if it is ok to remove these, what ones are not advisable to remove thanks.

Having updates installed won't slow your pc down. Time to spring clean. Try running CC Cleaner, get rid of duplicate files, clear your cookie cache and temp folders, run a maleware cleaner( Spy Bot Search and Destroy) etc etc .
