Hi,
I have constant problems with my C: Disk caused by the huge amount of data
in the WINDOWS Directory. I would really like to see a document that
describes in detail which directories can be emptied and which files can be
deleted. For example, why can't one throw away the contents of the
Windows\Installer or the Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Downloads directory.
Are there other files and directories that can be junked.

Google is your friend.

If the size of your system partition is causing you to run out of disc
space, you need a larger hard disk.

Hi,
that would be the equivalent of buying a bigger house because the current
one is full of junk. I would prefer to get rid of the junk

Up to you. Google will give you all the information you need to make an
informed decision about whether something is or is not really "junk."

That’s nice.. but since we have no idea what junk you have collected we
cannot tell you which to dispose of.
have you tried disk cleanup??..emptied you IE cache?? moved your
Pictures/Songs/Movies to a separate CD/DVD ???
How big is your HD?? How much space does the XP directory take up?? Have you
uninstalled the uninstall files for the various
updates since day one..called $NtuninstallKBXXXX$ ???
