removing tombstoned items

I have six Active Directory Sites. One site has two domain
controllers in it. One of the domain controllers was down
for 60 or more days (power supply went out) and thus
missed the Tombstoned and Garbage collection interval. Now
on this one DC, I have multiple objects on the DC that are
no longer in the directory. How can I get these tombstoned
items out of the directory on this one DC?

Thanks

I would demote the DC, remove AD and then promote this server to DC again.
It is clean and causes no problems ;-)

I'm with Matjaz.
Strictly speaking introducing DC's that are outside of tombstone lifetime is
a *bad* idea and can cause problems (object reanimiation, object collision,
lingering objects just to name a few). In W2K03 we went so far as to put
code in place to prevent this from happening by blocking replication if we
detect that you're outside of tombstone lifetime.

Dcpromo a box that is outside of it, metadata cleanup in the production
environment then promote again and you should be all set. :-)
