I have installed several patches and typically pick the
option that allows me to uninstall this update incase I
run into problems with the patch. Once I have verified
that these patches work, how can I remove the ability to
uninstall these patches to free up some disk space?

Sherri,
For the update you want to remove the uninstall option for you should be able to delete the hidden sub-folder under %
systemroot% and then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall, find the
sub-key that goes with the update, you may need to check the DisplayName value in the sub-keys to make sure you have
the right one, and then remove the sub-key.
As a precaution you may want to backup the folder and export the registry key before deleting them just in case.
