How do I remove them from the task bar

How do I remove them from the task bar?

Open the PROPERTIES or configuration area of the program that this icon
represents. There may be a "show in taskbar", "start when Windows starts"
or similar option.

You can't remove items in the Notification area by the Rt. click Delete. If
dev's method doesn't work, you may try this: Use the Always Hide option in
the Customize Notification window first. After some time, the unwanted item
will move down to the Past Items panel of this window. Then use the
VBscript provided here to remove it. Any associated programmes removed at
the same time but wanted can be reinstalled. This worked for me.

The method I described worked but was hardly elegant, what with reinstalling
of deleted but wanted programmes. In case you have missed, Kelly posted a
response to a question similar to yours earlier today:"removing icons from
task bar" from buzzard.
