The help section tells you how to add stuff to quick launch but how do you
take stuff out when you no longer use them so you can add new ones that you
would like to use now? I'm using XP

If I understand you correctly you want to delete an icon from the Quick
Launch list.

Simply right click on the item and click on "delete" This removes the icon
but not the program just as on the desktop.

If you want to remove the program do it in the usual way.

Two points:

1. To delete an icon from the Quick Launch bar, right-click on it and choose
Delete.

2. If you no longer use an icon, certainly delete it, but it's not necessary
to delete one to add another. You can add many. If you can't see them all,
you can scroll through the Quick Launch by using the >> button. Or you can
resize the bar by dragging the handle at its right (you may have to unlock
the Task Bar first).

Another choice many people don't realize is possible is to drag the Quick
Launch bar off the Task Bar entirely and dock it on another side of the
screen. That provides lots of room for many icons there.
