Hello,

I have had a management request to get rid of games from several systems
when a particular user account is used. Is this possible to do on a
company wide basis w/o touching every machine. Is there some policy in
XP that can be set?

Regards,

Randy.

If the user account is a Limited account, just remove the games in Control
Panel. A Limited use account doesn't have the rights to install/uninstall
programs on Windows XP.

Go into Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs, then click the Add/Remove
Windows Components in the left pane. With Accessories and Utilities
highlighted on the first screen, click the Details button. Single
left-click Games in the next screen to highlight it, then again click the
Details button. On the resulting screen you can add or remove check marks
from any of the listed games. OK your way back twice (two screens) then
click the Next button and finally Finish. Restart your system, and you
should then see the changes.

Hi Randy Galliano,

The most effective solution would be to impliment a Software Restriction Policy:

Thank you for the help. I went into a group policy on the domain, under a
particular container and set disallowed games. I then moved particular
users to the container and they are set up
