Removing Sound

I prepared a PPT file for a customer with sound (voice) attached to each
slide through the "Slide Transition" option - now my customer is interested
in the same file without the voice track - wanting the PPT file to be smaller
for emailing purposes - however after changing all sound assignments to [No
Sound] - the file performs properly but remains as big (26MB) as ever - the
sound seems to be embedded somehow although I cannot find the files.
I have gone as far as starting a new PPT file and re-creating the template,
then copy and paste content and for some reason it is still bringing the
"possibility " of the "wav" file with it as opposed to leaving it behind, I
never assigned the sounds to an element which is an option if I had done this
through the "Custom Animation" option - solution or remedy gratefully
accepted - thank you.

Have a look here, especially the bit about Fast Saves.
That may help.

Do this before using PowerPoint seriously
