Removing shortcuts from users

How do I remove a shortcut from one user without removing it on my desktop?I
followed the steps in this forum for changing permissions for multiple users
but I'm still left with the shortcut issue.Thanks All.

If you have admin rights, cut/paste the shortcut from the all users desktop
folder to the particular user's desktop folder (in documents &
settings\....)
