How can I selectively remove icons from the Quick Launch
area on the task bar?

Regards,
Alan

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for your response. The problem is that the icons
reappear on the next startup.

Conversely, if I add icons that I do want, they don't
appear on next startup.

I was thinking more in terms of adding and removing them
from the registry.

Alan

I apologize for wasting everyone's time.

I want to find out how to add or remove items from the
System Tray, not the Quick Launch.

Regards,
Alan

This behavior is out of control. We cannot manually add/remove one.

Sincerely,
Yuri Meng

Hi Alan,

Added info that may help:

Check for an option to not having the icon load in the System Tray via the
program(s) in question.

Other options for removal:

Go to Start/Run and type in: msconfig. Go to the Startup Tab and uncheck
accordingly. Then run this script to remove the disabled items from the
registry.

Clear Disabled Items from Msconfig Startup (Line 148)
