Hi,

There is a program listed under the start menu that I would like to remove. However, when I go to add/remove programs. the list does not show this program.

I tried to delete the file by right clicking on it, however, the icon still remains even though the computer says it has no knowledge of it when I click on it.

How do I go about removing the icon/program?

Thanks.

Right click on the program's icon and select Properties. That will tell you
where the program files are located. Delete the directory with the program's
files. Then go to Start menu program icon, right click and select delete. If
that does not work, as you indicated it did not, it could be a
permission/user issue. Go to C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Start
Menu/Programs and delete from there.
