Removing Program Without Installation Discs?

I'm trying to remove an old version of MS Office (1997)
from my laptop computer running Windows XP Home Edition
because I have installed MS Office 2000 also. Going
through the Add/Remove Programs utility, I'm asked to
insert the installation disc. However, I can't find it
anymore. Is there a way to remove the program without
needing the install disc?

Some people dont usually suguesst this but just try to delete the Office 97
folder.
