I have discarded my old HP II Laserjet and deleted it from the Printers
and Faxes folder. I'm wondering it the driver for it was removed from
the system by doing the delete. If not, is there another step I need to
take to remove it?

In general, what does one need to do to remove no longer needed drivers
from the system?

Thank you.

Hello

If you just remove them or un-install them that's pretty much all
you need to do. If you have already removed the printer from
the printer folder, that's it, no real need to go beyond that. Some
may still remain but you would have to go into the registry for
that but I only recommend doing that, if you capable of, because if
you do and make changes you could hose your systems, so leave as is

With a printer as old as an HPII, you don't need to delete drivers
as these are embedded in XP anyway.

Thank you very much Cari.

When I followed the instructions in the article I found one other
printer I had installed long ago and no longer have.

Now, like the fireman in Penny Lane, I have a clean machine.

Thanks again.
