Removing 'print' and 'edit' from context menu for images in XP3

How do I remove 'print' and 'edit' from context menu in XP3? I can't find
these in file types / or in the registry / I have thoroughly searched but
they keep turning up in JPG images.

Try locating the following key (if you are familiar with and capable of
editing the registry) and removing the entries (if they exist) from under
the "Shell" key there ;

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\audio\Shell]

....this key does not appear under the registered File-Types, but deals with
*all* classes of Audio-file.


*NB - Please exercise care when editing the registry, always create a
backup and / or create a 'System Restore' point first.

I must apologize, I am still half asleep, but the information I gave is
still valid, only use the following key ;

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\image]

....for all classes of IMAGE-FILE, instead!

I seem to recall those were available controls in gpedit.msc? Easier than
doing a registry hack.

What? - Do you mean that the GPO editor has the capability to
define which applications open all image-file-types (in this case) or,
all-audio-files, and all-video-files?

The key I quoted along with two others close to it ;

[...iations\Audio\Shell\...]
[...iations\Image\Shell\...]
[...iations\Video\Shell\...]

....*do* control the overriding opening application any file classed as
belonging to the above group-types.

Also, as well as the media-groups, there are keys for "Text-file-type",
"System-file-type", two Directory-containing-media-file-type keys (for
folders containing either Audio-file-type and Video-file-types) and
finally one key for Drives of type CD-ROM.

So you still really think that it's possible to set [define] any of that*¹
in the GPO Editor [gpedit.msc] ?

*¹ i.e. - meaning; to set overriding associations for "groups of
file-types" such as "Audio", "Image" and "Video".
