how do i delete the list of previous "home pages" in IE6.
when i reset to default, or select another home page, the previous home
pages are still visible and listed. I wish to premanetly remove all previous
home pages. clearing cache or temp internet files does not delete previous
home pages. registry cleaners do not delete previous home pages.
no problems were found when running spyware or anti-virus programs.
How do I delete previous home pages?
any help is appreciated

Hi,
Try clearing the History (if you haven't already) from Internet Options>
General.

If unsuccessful with that, these URLs you're seeing are in the index.dat
file in the History folder.
Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder (and the index.dat file) and a new one will be created when
you restart.
Or the History folder can be deleted manually:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

CCleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com/ can often clear the History and the
index.dat file. Just check the appropriate boxes and run it.

Hope this helps,
Don
