I have 3 Vista Ultimate machines and they are all shared using the Network
and Sharing Center. Under Sharing and Discovery, the Public folder sharing
and Printer sharing is On but has password protection requred.

How do you remove this so the drives can be accessed?

I went to Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Local Security Policy>Local
Policies>Security Options>Account:Limit local account use of black passwords
to console logon only and disabled it.

Have you off the password protection off under Network and sharing center. Or check the permissions.

Click the arrow next to "Password protected sharing" to expand it. Select
"Turn off password protected sharing" and click "Apply".
