removing old OS

Just upgraded to XP Pro since I'm satisfied with XP and
now want to remove W2K from system. Just to tidy up.
Any easy way?
If I start 2K I get an error HAL32.dll is missing so I
can't uninstall from 2K (if it were ever possible) w/o
installing missing file.

Is the other OS on another partition? If it is, I think
you can just format that partition and be done with it.
Just check around a bit more to be sure you don't end up
screwing up your system.

I don't think you could uninstall W2K from within W2K...
it'd be kinda like chopping off your own legs... and then
expecting to be able to walk into your new WinXP
apartment =P.

If the two OSes are on the same partition, then my guess
is that you'll have to go and (very carefully mind you)
clean out your hard drive manually. I'm not 100% sure
about this, since I've never done anything like it.

Hope this helps,

Nick
