Remove drivers for the Lucent V90 from the Add/Remove control
panel if applicable. Then remove the modem profile from the device
manager control panel. Power down the system, uninstal the V90, then
install the V92. Power the system backup, and install the drivers for
the V92.

Depending on what operating system you are using, you should first try
to write down any settings you have set for your modem or dailup
connection in case they dissapear in the process.

Once done:
1. shut down your computer,
2. switch off the little black switch on the back of the computer (or
if you don't have one, unplug the power cable)
3. wait approximately 15 seconds or until any lights on your computer
go off
4. disconnect the telephone cable
5. open the case (on an ATX case that would be just the left pannel,
which is attached with two screws at the back)
6. find your modem card, by checking where the modem plug is on the
outside
7. remove the screw keeping the modem card in place and pull out the
card
8. place the new card in it's place
9. make sure the new modem is fully seated in the slot and put the
previously removed screw back there to keep it that way (your computer
will not boot if the modem is not properly seated or possibly if the
card is faulty)
10. Reconnect the phone line
11. Reconnect the power line
12. Boot up your computer

Installing the drivers required to use the modem is of course different
depeding on the OS. In Windows, the modem will either be installed
Automatically or if that fails, by directing the hardware installation
wizzard to the little floppy drive provided with the modem. If that
also fails, look for a Setup program on your floppy.

Good luck. ;)
