If I reload my windows disc, will that give thew
components I need to get rid of the Mcafee???

Do I need to reload the whole system or just components
of windows, I really don't want to lose anything but the
Mcafee

Go to control panel, click on ADD/REMOVE and in the list
click on McAfee programs, one at a time, and click to
remove. You may need to reboot to see the results. Also,if
you are missing XP files,go to start, run and type
sfc /scannow
(notice space between sfc and /).Click OK.you may need to
put XP CD in CD-ROM,if it starts to run, just click exit
when choice appears, the computer should start scanning
for corrupt files.Bar graph should stop when
finished....Good luck.

You should really ask McAfee about the best way to troubleshoot
uninstalling. If you did a Clean Install of XP (Wipe the hard drive clean)
it would get rid of it, but i would not suggest it. Contact McAfee first.
