removing McAfee 8.0

I have been warned that a substantial process is involved.

I have unsuccessfully searched google for some advice.

Can someone tell me how to go about removing McAfee from my computer?

Have you already tried and had problems with Add/Remove Programs? You'll
also want to uninstall the SecurityCenter if you don't have other McAfee
stuff installed.

if you have to ask that question, you are not up to speed on the
particular situation regarding mcafee. it is quite complex and the
add/remove process does not at all apply to mcafee 8.0.

Wrong.

You have to first use the add-remove programs to remove McAfee AV and
then do the same to remove the McAfee Security Center. It also helps if
you use a program like Registry Cleaner to remove any leftover registry
entries, but it's not necessary.
