Hi,

I am having problems removing a key that was inserted by
an installer. Anyone know how to remove a key from the
currentcontrolset* area of the hive?

Thanks

What problem?

Hi,

I installed an anti-virus program and decided I didn't
like it. I used the Add/Remove Programs from Control
Panel to uninstall it, but the uninstaller didn't remove
all the keys from the registry. Now when I reload W2K
Server, it produces a "Failed to Start Device" message. I
would just like to get rid of the keys and fix
this "bug"...

Thanks,

Check Event Viewer for error details. For any services/devices you can
delete them from the registry service subkey
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services

If symantec products then also check their support site for a registry
removal tool.
