Since I can't search for this, and haven't seen this issue
in the 20 or so pages I've scrolled through, I'll make a
new post.
I would like to keep my interface clutter-free, and
therefore I am keeping the box "Hide the Microsoft
AntiSpyware Icon on the System Tray" checked under general
settings. That setting does not, however, seem to "stick"
after automatically applying updates and running scans.
I am running a nightly update and scan schedule, and every
morning when I return to the computer the icon has
reappeared in the system tray. The only way to get it to go
away again is to quit MSAS and then restart it again. When
it restarts, the icon is hidden like it is supposed to be.
It will stay hidden if I do a manual update and a manual
scan, but if it's done through the scheduler the icon will
continue to reappear. It's getting really tedious to quit
and restart the program every morning...
