Hi,

I keep getting all of the games in the final image. I have not
inculded the 'Games' component and I've even removed some files from
the 'Windows Accesories' component. I am still getting all of the
games in the image, taking up precious space.

How do I disable them before they creep in to the image at build
time??

Your help would be much appreciated.

Best Regards
PJ

Do you have the Shell Application Compatibility component in you
configuration? If so, this is what is pulling in the Games component. In the
settings for the Shell Application Compatibility component, just uncheck
Games and it will not be pulled in.

Hi Sean, thanks so much for your reply. But I don'thave that component
(Shell Application Compatibility ) in my build. I've gone through all
of the components but can't find the option to deselct 'Games' in any
of them. Are there any other components I could check for?

Best Regards
Pradeep

Pradeep,

Can you specifically point out what games you're getting in the image?
That would help searching for it.

As for now, please check if you happened to include any of the following components:
Games
Standard Game Port
Internet Games Core
Windows Accessories
Accessories/System Tools
Accessories/Communications Programs

Hi KM,

I got the similar issue. I did not add any game component but somehow a
bunch of games are listed in the games menu in Accessories. Those games menu
items don't link to any games. If I don't want the games menu item in
Accessories, how do I disable or remove it? When I checked my
configurations, I had Windows Accessories and Accessories/System Tools in it.
I have XPE SP2 development tools. Thanks in advance.

Chip,

Please take a look at the "Standard Start Menu Shortcuts" component resources. You will notice this component brings in lots of
Games shortcuts to the All Users\Start Menu\Programs folder.

KM,

Thanks for pointing that out. I went to Standard Star Menu Shortcuts
component resources to disable all those "Games" shortcuts. Now all game
shortcuts are no longer shown in "All Programs" and "Games" menu items.
Thanks for teaching me how to disable resources.

Sincerely,
