Powerpoint (2003) presentations "remembers" fonts which have been used
previously. Using the font substitution function does not help. If the fonts
are no longer installed in the font directory they are marked with a "?" in
the font selection menue. When saving the presentation including the fonts,
one receives a warning or Powerpoint even refuses to store it, depending on
the option which has been selected in the options menue.

Any possibility to get rid of such fonts?

Many thanks for your help!

Have you tried using 'replace fonts' to change from them a font listed with
a ? to something like Arial?

cheers

Seems to work ok here except when the missing font is a double-byte or unicode
one. Or if you haven't updated Office 2003 to at least SP2 (which allows you
to substitute fonts you DO have for certain embedded fonts that you don't.)
