Is there a freeware way to remove redundant entries from Windows XP's
"Add/remove programs" menu?

Try "Mr Tech Systray". The right click menu has an very FAST add-remove
list, and allows deleting non-existent programs. It also points you to where
the program is located. I haven't used the sluggish XP Add-Remove list for
many months, and good riddance.

To further clean extraneous references stuck in your registry, my favorite
is the last free version of "JV16 Power Tools", which can be found on the
Mole Zone.

Remove "kins" from address to reply.

Excellent, Bob! The XP Add-Remove list will irritate me no longer.

Thanks, Bob -- I'll track it down and try it out.
