Please would anyone tell me how I can delete a duplicate Outlook 2007
Contacts Folder which is empty? (Unfortunately I checked the wrong duplicates
option when importing .pst from CD.) I obviously wish only one Contacts
folder which has my addresses in. At the moment, when I wish to send a new
message and click the Address Book icon I get a blank search box. Thanks.

You failed to specify from which view you want it removed, and there are
many possibilities.

Dear Barry,

to delete an "entry" of the Outlook Addressbook listing is in Outlook 2007
only possible if you create a new Outlook profile.

You can change the "default" Addressbook.

Click on "Tools/Addessbook/Tools/Options".

Change the entry of "Show this Adressbook first".

Maybe it helps.

No. It is not necessary to create a new Outlook profile just to remove an
invalid Contact Folder reference in the address book view. It is far from
clear that that is even what the OP refers to, but if it is, the invalid
reference can simply be removed here:
Tools > Account Settings > Address Book Tab > Outlook Address Book >
Change...

This is one of the settings that is always corrupted when using the import
function to transfer Outlook data, but it is one of the easiest to fix.
Depending on how much data the OP attempted to import, other settings were
likely corrupted as well and many of those will require a new profile to
fix.

Hi Russ,

I understand his question that he get a wrong contact folder when he click
on the "To" field.
At the moment, when I wish to send a new message and click the Address Book
icon I get a blank search box.

I understand his information in this way, that he now has 2 "Contact" folder
as "Outlook Addressbook" and he wants to select the correct one with his
included contact information.

To delete the wrong folder under:
Tools > Account Settings > Address Book Tab > Outlook Address Book >
Change...

is a new information for me. Thanks.
