Removing DNS

I am needing to remove DNS from a member server. I tried
to delete the server from with in the DNS mgmt console and
it was back in there the next time that I opened the DNS
console. What do I need to do to remove DNS from this
server. The server is Win 2003?

You mean uninstall DNS from the machine? Goto add/remove programs, Windows
Components, Network Services, uncheck DNS.

Or do you want to only remove the DNS server entry from the console? THen
rt-click the DNS server IP or name, choose delete.
