Removing DEAD AD controller

Backup AD controller died of hardware failure before I had a chance to run
DCPROMO to remove it.

How do I go about removing all instances of dead server without messing up
the rest of my environment?

also check if the remaining DC is a GC -> If not make it a GC

make sure the DC that died did not own any FSMO role -> if it did SEIZE the
role to a healthy DC

I checked for GCS and FSMO.

The server that died was not the GCS or FSMO, it was at a remote site for
authetication in case of a network failure.

Sounds like all you have to do then is clean up metadata.
