It's summer and time to get my 20 classroom computers (running Windows 2000
Professional in a domain on a Windows 2000 server) cleaned out for the new
kids. Any easy way to remove the contents of Documents, Favorites, Cookies,
and Desktop (is that enough?) so the new students can begin the year without
old files? I have VNC if that might help. Thanks!

Each user has their own profile that is stored under documents and settings. You can
logon as administrator and go to control panel/system/profiles and delete the old
user profiles. Whenever a new user logs on the first time they will get a new profile
based on the default profile. If you allowed them to store files elsewhere on the
computer, such as in the drive/root folder, you may want to check there and delete
those non default folders and files. If they were in the local administrators/power
users group they could have folders anywhere on the computer and a fresh install
would be best. --- Steve

Use delprof.exe from the Resource Kit to remotely delete profiles off
computers. Much easier than visiting each PC, even with VNC.
