Does anyone know a way to remove certain sites listed in
the drop down history address bar? I know you can clear
all the history through the options, but I only need to
delete certain sites, not all of them.

That doesn't work on my PC with W-XP home edition. I've noticed a lot of
suggestions on these MS NGs that do not work. Some are almost like guesses.
Maybe those who offer help should ask which version of W the person has?
It was suggested holding the SHIFT key would stop my OE6 newsgroup messages
from jumping to the top of the posts, making reading them difficult. That
did nothing - plus it's hard to type a reply when one hand is immobile
holding the SHIFT key.

What doesn't work? Right-click, Delete or that that doesn't
do what you expect? It's documented that it might not do what
you expect but there is an individual right-click, Delete for History items
in all versions of Windows. Use the History bar or the History special
folder.

I have no interest in experimenting to prove my speculations.
I keep hoping that the people I respond to will have more interest
in doing that but if you would like to see how I have replied to this question
in the past do the following Google Groups search:

physics history "index.dat" author:aldwinckle

You can see a more recent revision of essentially the same thing
by substituting speculations for physics

Maybe those who post should disclose their OS. Why turn one message
into 3?
