Removing audio

How do you remove the audio from a vid clip that already has audio in it or
can this be done?

I guess you mean in Movie Maker?

If you simply wish to omit the sound for the
current project...right click the 'Audio' track
and choose...Mute. Then you can add a
different sound file to the 'Audio/Music' track
if you wish.

If you wish the sound permanently muted...
even for future projects...mute it and then
re-save the file (File / Save Movie File).
The new version will be silent.
