Event logging is part of the OS. What OS?

Should you mean logging from a particular application, then more
details (app name/version) may be needed. But the publisher of the
application would be the best source for details on their implimented
event logging, and any options for same.

If the application offers no log level settings, contact the publisher.

Applications register for event logging under

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog\Application\<app name>

If the application's messages are stored in a separate message file,
(sometimes a DLL) it might be possible to create a customized replacement
perhaps.

Maybe someone else will post with better ideas or more information.
