Does anyone know of a means of completely removing/deleting or
destroying the parts of Windows XP that handle printing functions and
reinstalling them?

Total backups and restore seem to back up and restore my problems...

Thanks,
A.J.

You should probably explain wht the problem is? What kind of printer? For
now you might want to uninstall the printer driver and reinstall if it is XP
compatible printer driver. Thats what communicates with Operating Sys. to
print. If it is "NOT" XP compatible then you need to download one from
printers web site........

Okay... Restored a hard drive from a backup (Hard drive failure)...
Had a Canon 6000, Lexmark X75 and Adobe Acrobat 5.0 installed..
Everything works except printers. On any attempt to print I get
nothing. If I attempt to print a test page I get an offer to run
troubleshooter... I did get the Canon 6000 to work briefly by turning
spooling off and sending directly to the printer... Acrobat worked
briefly too. I went thru the procedures at www.coribright.com and
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm and still get
the same thing... Nothing but the offer to run troubleshooter.

I reinstalled all printer drivers and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat...
Nothing but the offer to run troubleshooter.

Any suggestions?
