Hi

I got a problem when opening an Excel application (workbook). Whe
opening it always asks for a linked extern worksheet to open to updat
(actualize) the data in the sheet. Formerly there was a formula with
link to an extern worksheet. But I removed that formula already. S
there are no more referrals to extern sheets at all.
There must be two reasions for that: There is a referral in a formula
can't find. So how to find it (the application is quite big).
Or the question appears by mistake and there isn't any link at all. Bu
how to remove that.
When I go to the menu 'Edit - Links' there is an option 'Updat
Automatically' or 'Manually', but the button 'Manually' isnt active, s
I cannot change that. The link entry (name of the worksheet Excel i
looking for) appears in the link list, and when I remove the link entr
it will be appear again, when I open the menu again. So I cannot remov
it here.

How can I remove that link ?

Hi Frank,
I tried this Findlink tool and the following message comes:

''I cant accress datalabel 30 of series 4 of chart 1 on Diagram
Possibly it contains the link you are looking for, you will need t
check it yourself.''

The tool also destroys (changes) my chart formatting in many ways whil
running.
If there is the hidden link how can I find that in the chart. In tha
chart I dont find any link to an extern file at all. There is only on
datalabel. How can I see the formula behind it, I can only see th
formula behind the whole curve (Series 4) to which the datalabe
belong to.

Hi
tra the following:
- right click on your chart
- select data source
- check the formulas (maybe there is a reference to a different
workbook)

Hi Frank

I looked at the data source that way already. There was no exter
link.
So I removed the data labels in that chart and make them new manually
I think it solved the problem.

Thanks.
(I think that Findlink tool is useful anyway.)
