I'm trying to completely remove Windows XP Home from my
PC, and then I want to install Windows 98.

However, I am unable to remove XP.
Lot's of FAQ's on the web are about removing an XP
upgrade, but none are about removing a full version.

Does anyone have the answer ?

Why do you wish to remove Windows XP and install the old
Windows 98 operating system? Microsoft no longer supports
Windows 98....it is considered an "obsolete" operating system.

How to Use the Fdisk Tool and the Format Tool to Partition or Repartition a Hard
Disk

1. Delete the Windows XP partition.
2. Create a new partition.
3. Format the new partition FAT32.
4. Install your desired Operating System.

The reason I want to remove XP is that I am continuously
having problems with Internet Explorer. Each time I try to
start it, the PC crashes.
As I'm more familiar with Win 98, and have the full
version of it aswell, I intend to install 98.

I checked the second link which you mentioned below (fdisk
and format tool) but again XP is not mentioned as one of
the applicable OS's.

Thanks for your help anyway !
