I dont mean physically removing it from the computer
I know how to do that easy
I mean how do i get the icon off the My Computer screen and every where else
it shows up
I have a Toshiba laptop that didnt come with a floppy drive and seeing that
there in the window and knowing theres
no A: drive in the computer is annoying.
Ive tried to delete the floppy controller from the device manager but
windows automatically reloaded it on the next startup
I tried to disable it and it stays disabled but the A: icon is still on the
menu.
I was wondering how to just get rid of it
The CD drive can be swapped out for a floppy drive but ever since i got a
64. MB key drive, ive just forgotton about using
floppies.

Have you looked in your BIOS and tried changing any floppy setting to 'not
installed' (if such an option exists on Tosh laptops)?
