Removed XP Desktop Search 3.01 Now Can't Control Remote Assistance

I had a couple of computers that mistakenly installed Desktop Search 3.01, XP
512MB RAM to 1GB, and Search was really slowing them down. So I uninstalled
it after reading up on the uninstall. Add/Remove programs did think it was a
system update, but it's not.

HOWEVER, now when I go to hit those boxes with Remote assistance I get the
screen view, but when I click Take Control, nothing happens. No screen pops
up on the user's side to say yes to.

Allow this computer to be controlled remotely is checked in the System
control panel.

I can remote destop connect into them and log in and control them 100%, just
not drive with another user logged in. And it used to work. The computers
that still have Desktop Search installed are working with RA just fine.

I've tried reinstalling Desktop Search, but it's having a fit and can't
reload it's index on the box that I've tried. I would really like to get RA
up and running again.

IE 7 has a new feature that will probably fix that. Tools menu, Options, see
button to reset search options.

Any ideas with IE 6? We're stuck with XP and IE 6 since our Microsoft
product hasn't announced when it's going to deal with Vista, and the Citrix
we use to connect to it doesn't like IE 7.
