Removed Spyware--Now IE doesn't work, need help BAD

Hello, please help if you can.
I am running WIN 98, deleted some spyware found
using spybot, now IE gives "Page won't display error".
Tried to recover deleted spyware, still would not run IE.

Using Netscape, so connection is there.

Thanks for any tips or help.
 
The exact same thing happened to me on Windows Xp yesterday. Removed some Spyware and now IE is broken... the ie6setup.exe won't repair it... but Netscape 7 runs fine. :O

I have same problem. I even re-installed IE6 to no avail.

Ran into the same problem after removing spyware. Problem appears to be a winsock error caused by the removal of some spyware.

Download this link http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm it work for me IE is back up and running.
 
The way to go it definitely worked for me.

The real annoying thing was I could Open Windows explorer
and go into Internet explorer that way, or I could start a
web page in Outlook, and surf happily.
