I was installing Windows XP setup in preparation to install XP on a
second drive, when I realized that I needed to exit the install
without completing. Setup wasn't recognizing my function keys (F3 to
exit) so at the menu I did a cold reboot. Now every time I start my
computer I get a menu that allows me to select between Windows 2000
(my current operating system) and XP set up. However, if XP set up is
chosen, XP crashes with a note to run chkdsk. I have to assume that
when I powered off the computer I corrupted some of XP's temporary
installation files on my C: drive. Is there a way to uninstall the
files from XP set up manually? Thanks!
