I used a Kelly's Corner script to add Windows Explorer to
the Right Click on the Start menu. How can I REMOVE
Windows Explorer from the RIGHT CLICK on the Start Menu?

Thank you.

Rod

Hi Rodney,

Start/run regedit, expand to this key and delete it:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\Windows Explorer

That key was added by Kelly's script. Please be careful and do not delete
anything else.

I expanded HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Shell\Windows
Explorer
Inside the Windows Explorer folder there is a folder
Command and inside the Command folder there is
explore.exe /e
Should I delete the entire Windows Explorer folder with
the command folder in it?

Thank you.

Rod

Hi Rodney,

Yes, her script creates the Windows Explorer subkey. It is not there in a
normal installation. If you are uncomfortable, do this to help show how it
works: Click on that key, click file/export and save a copy to the desktop.
Then delete it. Check the start button. It should be gone. Now, double-click
the saved copy, and allow it to merge with the registry. It will be back.
