How?!?!? Go to your partitions or disk management and
format it and use it as back up space.

thanks, but how do I get it to boot back to windows me
straight without the boot.ini?
basically, i want to install XP over ME and get rid of
advanced server, but XP won't let me install on a dual
boot.

thanks sooo much!

Hi,
Install XP on the top of ME. Do format the drive on
which WIndows 2000 has been installed, while installing
the XP.

Use your 2000 server CD and boot up on it. When you get to the repair
install a 2000 system then delete the partition containing the 2000. Once it
is deleted then exit the program and reboot and go to ME. From ME go to a
Command prompt and type sys x: x = boot partition where boot.ini resides.
This will clean out the 2000 boot stuff and bring it back to pure ME. use
attrib *.* to verify the 2000 boot files are gone. Then reboot the system
again and you should see only ME. At this point I am not sure since I have
never installed XP after using a server. I am sure there is documentation
online covering this. I imagine once you boot the CDROM on XP it should give
you same choices at this point. You will need to create a new partition and
then install XP.
