I upgradede from xp pro. I have 5 user log ins...4 do not work...cycles
through log in directly to log off. I want to remove these users and
recreate. How can i delet them.?

Restart in Safe Mode, log in to the Administrator account > open Control
Panel > User Accounts > Manage Accounts > select the account and delete.

when will people learn to stop doing OS "upgrades"? this hasnt worked
cleanly ever, and never will.
backup the files you need, format the drive and do a clean install

If you adhere to the compat report upgrading does work OK. But if you then
reinstall all your old XP garbage that the report warned about it probably
won't. Your maxim sounds great, but those who will be using the Upgrade
Editions will not have the luxury of following your advice.

Allen--

You should also be able to get this job done by accessing user accounts.
Type "control userpasswords2" (lose quotes) into run and you'll see a list
of users with the delete button. You can list all accounts by clicking the
advanced tab>advanced button>click users in left pane.

Also that safe mode admin account should allow you to do this. It's
non-deletable and a backstop from which you could also usually reset your
password should you or someone lose it.
