hi,
I want to remove a toolbar which has been generated with an addin. if
I delete the addin the toolbar is still there. now I want to write a
program that deletes the toolbar without excel having opened. can you
tell me which registry key it is or something? and no, its not the
add-in manager. there is nothing

thanks in advance

well this is how you do it with excel opened.
I have written "WITHOUT excel opened"

thanks in advance

Hi,
as far as I know, all settings regarding custom toolbars are kept in
xxxxx8.xlb (xxxx stands for user name) file not in registry. In Win98 (which
I use) this file is placed in C:\windows directory, I don't know how it is
in W2K or XP.
Try to delete this file (back it up first!). This will remove all custom
toolbars.
Otherwise You cannot remove such toolbars without opening Excel first.
regards
